Smart, funny and easygoing, Maddy and Brendan brought the best energy to this hidden garden spot in Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia. We started with a first look along the ivy and brick, pulled in family for portraits, then slipped away for a quick wander with just the two of them.
Guests found their seats in the courtyard and the ceremony unfolded against the weathered arch witnessing sweet, personal, and full of laugh-through-tears moments….

To be perfectly honest, my favorite wedding venue is your backyard—the kind of place where everything feels personal, natural, and uniquely yours. But when we’re looking for something buttoned-up and cool, Philadelphia has no shortage of incredible spaces that elevate the experience without losing that sense of authenticity. I’ve had the chance to photograph in some of these truly amazing spots around the city, and each brings its own character and vibe. Nat & Lance’s Laid-Back Garden Bash in Philly
Nat and Lance threw one of the most effortlessly cool backyard weddings I’ve ever seen. It all went down in two connected yards in Germantown suburb of Philadelphia—one for the ceremony and cocktail hour (complete with a pool!), and the other for dinner, dancing, and some seriously fun games. These two are incredibly artistic, and you could feel their style and personality in every detail….
