Linda and Jon got married at Pen Ryn Estate in North East Philadelphia on one of those moody, dramatic-sky days with clouds drifting in, soft light on the river, and it looked incredible…
Wildwood has that loud, sun faded, salt spray energy old-school rides humming, seagulls talking trash, neon already buzzing before sunset. It’s chaos in the best way where Jacqui and Ben fit right in…
Smart, funny and easygoing, Maddy and Brendan brought the best energy to this hidden garden spot in Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia. We started with a first look along the ivy and brick, pulled in family for portraits, then slipped away for a quick wander with just the two of them.
Guests found their seats in the courtyard and the ceremony unfolded against the weathered arch witnessing sweet, personal, and full of laugh-through-tears moments….
To be perfectly honest, my favorite wedding venue is your backyard—the kind of place where everything feels personal, natural, and uniquely yours. But when we’re looking for something buttoned-up and cool, Philadelphia has no shortage of incredible spaces that elevate the experience without losing that sense of authenticity. I’ve had the chance to photograph in some of these truly amazing spots around the city, and each brings its own character and vibe. Given my background, I really enjoy music venues and places with lots of history. Here are just a handful of my favorite venues to celebrate and tell your story in.
From the minute I met up with Maddy and Brendan, I knew this was going to be a fun one. We shot at Philly’s Graffiti Pier—one of those places that’s rough around the edges in the best way. It’s covered top to bottom in layers of graffiti art, and somehow still feels quiet and tucked away. Totally fitting for these two….
Nat and Lance threw one of the most effortlessly cool backyard weddings I’ve ever seen. These two are incredibly artistic, and you could feel their style and personality in every detail….
It was such a treat to witness this proposal of Adam to Amanda! Johnson's Locust Hall Farms in Jobstown, NJ was a perfect setting for our afternoon session. Walking through sunflower patches felt like it was still a summer and it was a great way to celebrate the anticipation of this new life. Adam told us about the proposal ahead of the session and we all were anxiously waiting for the moment when he dropped on his knee…
Two beautiful people from Brooklyn had a lovely idea for their wedding. Dress up as much as possible, then jump on a subway from Brooklyn to Manhattan and go to the infamous City Hall where people of all walks of life say "I do!" every day. And so they did, in a company of their best friends. Yoko and the girls wore kimonos and most of the guys wore tuxes.
The first time Gina and Anush met was by chance. It was early in the morning during a tough workout of 100+ people on the steps of Art Museum. That's where it all started and I've happened to be there while capturing that event for Philadelphia Magazine about 5 years ago. I've only met them recently for the first time and it was pretty amazing going back and finding Anush in the sea of dedicated people. Green shirt first row….
